Has anyone heard of the regents nursing program. what type of program is this how does it work? Is it real and accredited?

Any info appreciated.

Regents is accredited by the NLN and is a great program for those who are self directed. I just rec'd my ASN from Regents in May. I passed the NCLEX in June. I have been a LPN for 5 years prior. The program took me approx 3 years. It is very easy to get off track. You buy books to study for the test. Then after you pass the test you get college credit.EX. Soc.-buy the study material-study--then take a test( that is equal to what someone who has taken the class should know)--then you get the credit.

I graduated from the Regents program over two years ago. I was an LPN for 5 years prior to that. I would recommend this program for anyone that is self motivated and has a medical back ground. I think that without some sort of medical background it would be difficult to do, although you do have advisors that you can call if you need assistance with something. Check out the options and be careful of the differant companies that offer the "study" guides for this. The company I went with covered the material very well. You can also get the text books and study material directly through Regents.

Regeants is real and accredited and EXPENSIVE! The reason I was looking was because the college I wanted to go to was 50 miles away. I figured out that for the cost, I could take the time, drive and sit in class and STILL save money. There is a lot to be said for a real person to help out with problems.

I am a 1994 Regents College Grad. ADN with 4 years prior experience as an LVN. I passed NCLEX on the 1st try and back then it was a TWO day WRITTEN exam. ( No Computer Exam.) It takes a lot of hard work and discipline but it is worth it in the long run! In job hunting, I have not had a problem with any employer questioning my choice of education. In fact they have congratulated the hard work and self discipline it takes to pass. I am now in the process of obtaining a BSN thru Regents. I hope to complete this within the next two years. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to e-mail me.
