I have been looking in Rasmussen College to start my nursing career and recently found out there is a Jersey College close to my home as well. Rasmussen is regionally accredited and Jersey is national accredited. Does accreditation only make a difference when you want to continue your education or do hospitals look at that as well? Also, if anyone has an opinion on either one of these schools (good or bad) please share. Thank you in advance!

The accreditation that matters most for nursing schools is ACEN or CCNE. That accreditation can indeed affect furthering education, as many grad schools look for students who graduated from an ACEN/CCNE accredited prelicensure program.
Thank you! Rasmussen is ACEN accredited and Jersey College is institutionally accredited by the Council on Occupational Education (COE)? I did like the flexibility of Jersey but I don't want to waist my time either. Maybe I will just stick with Rasmussen. Thank you again for clearing that up for me.
