Nursing Students CNA/MA

I am thinking of checking out Nurse Assistant Training (CNA) through Red Cross.. am 56 and completed by B.S. in Psychology this past year...thoughts on this career changer???

Go for it. I know a lot of CNA's that are over 60. You can take care of residents at any age. Beware of age discrimination, I had a DON in her 70's and she didn't seem really concerned about the age of the people caring for the patients but for the patients that were in the facility. It was a hospice and so no one is really worried about the age of the person trying to turn/feed/care for the patient. The concern was more about keeping the resident stable, monitoring and keeping them comfortable.
