Recommended NCLEX studying time post graduation!

Published

Hi everyone!

I just graduated from nursing school last week. I am taking this week to relax & just de-stress after completing an intense Nursing program! So I was wondering how long is the recommended time to study for NCLEX? I don't want to cram things & become anxious to finish but I don't want to wait too long either.

My test date is on July 17th in the afternoon. My study tools are Hurst & Kaplan. I did both of the live reviews during nursing school & I was going to review over content that I'm not as strong in for the first week or 2, then proceed to do questions & more questions. I really want to pass on the first try.

So I'm just anxious to know is July 17th too far away? & if you all have any advice/tips or extra review files or tools, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you so much!

Everyone has different circumstances. You are wise to take a break after graduation. Personally, I took about 5-6 weeks doing Kaplan course and reviewing Saunders. Don't get too wrapped up in memorizing content...practicing questions is best. If you are really confused by a question, jot down the concept and then review; don't try to memorize the material and then go into the test. Congratulations and good luck!

Thank you so much! I will make sure not to get too wrapped up in the content! I appreciate your advice!
