Recommended hospitals in Leesburg, Reston, Herndon area?

U.S.A. Virginia

Hi, I recently moved to VA. My husband is probably going to be transferring to the Reston area for work. I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations of good hospitals to work at in that area. I'd prefer not to work inside the beltway. I was looking at maybe living in Sterling. Does anyone know if that is a nice city to live in?

Hi there, welcome to the area. Reston Hospital Center is a very nice quiet private hospital. It's owned by HCA. What kind of nursing do you want to do? There's also Inova Loudoun and Inova Fair Oaks Hospital not too far away. All of these are very quiet, mellow community hospitals. If you don't mind a little bit of a commute Inova Fairfax is just barely outside the beltway and is the Mother Ship of hospitals in Northern Virginia. It's huge and has about every kind of specialty you could want. If you have a couple of years of experience it shouldn't be too hard to get a job at any of these hospitals. However, I know the new grad market isn't too great right now.

I've been an ER nurse for about 8 years. I'm ready to try something else though. PACU, OR, cath lab... something like that. Community hospital is probably more what I'm looking for.

hi everyone i just joined the site so im not sure if this is the right way to post or ask questions. I currently am a BSN student and will be graduating in December. My son was born completely deaf so we are wanting to relocate to DC area to give him better opportunaties. Anyone know what the job market is like in that area right now for BSNs? Thanks!
