Hi,
I am starting nursing school in the fall and want to review A&P this summer.
Is the Dummies book any good? OR are there other better review books that you have used?
Thanks so much!

I start in the Fall also. I am trying to read through Fluids and electrolytes from the Made Incredibly easy series. I have read posts on here that this is one of the difficult sections in block I. It has a lot of information that hopefully when I hear it or read it again during class it will sink in for good. The obvious electrolytes Na, K, Ca, Phos, HCO3-, Cl, Mg, and includes hyper/hypo and signs and symptoms, lab values etc. Lots of hormones like ADH, Aldosterone, ANP and how and where and why is it produced. It starts at the basics of balancing fluids, then fluid and electrolyte imbalances onto disorders that cause imbalances. I like what I have seen so far in the book, but it is a lot of information even though it says incredibly easy. It reminds me more in depth of anatomy/physiology II with hormones and systems.

I bought the dummies book to review and try and get ahead (I bought the workbook because I like to "do") I have not been able to really understand the concepts but I think had I bought the actual book with more than a one sentence explanation it would have been easier to understand.

I used Hole's Human Anatomy and Physiology. It's our textbook and workbook, but I found it to be amazing! The text and workbook coordinate well, and give a lot of practice.
You can find these online for not horrible expensive.
