Is it necessary to have a palmpilot while in nursing school? I start in september. If I need one, i need to start saving up now. Was it helpful to you?
Don't worry about saving up for one. Drexel will give a PDA to each of their nursing students when we start. It's included in our tuition, from what I understand. At $32,000 it better be!!! One of our first quarter classes is Nursing Informatics, where we will learn to use the PDA that they give us and the software.
where did you see this???My husband was prepared to go get me one today. He has a frequent buyer's coupon at this computer place.
I was just looking for the article on Drexel's website that I read stating that they provide a pda to each of their nursing students, to give you the link, but I couldn't find it. However, I did find this link http://www.skyscape.com/group/Drexel_testimonial.pdf (take a minute to read the article, especially the top of page 3, which states that the pda and software are covered by our lab fees) and info on the schools website stating that we are required to have a pda. Drexel sets specific requirements for the pda used by the students, such as it must have fingerprint recognition technology, which ensures that nobody else can just pick it up and get patient information from it, etc. I wouldn't go out and buy one until I know for sure that this expense is the student's responsibility and until I know all of Drexel's requirements pertaining to it.
Can any current students or graduates of the ACE program provide any additional info.?
