Received a interview from a email response from HR. The only contact was from email.

I applied online to a hospital. One week later I received a email request to set an appointment for an interview. The email had only one time for each day for an appointment.

Example:

Monday 08/02/13- 07:00-08:00 AM

Tuesday 08/03/13- 07:00-08:00 AM

Wednesday 08/01/13- 07:00-08:00 AM

I am used to talking to someone on the phone about a interview appointment. I never got to talk to this company on the phone. Everything was done by email.

I emailed him with my day that I chose. In this email I asked him what building do I need to go too. I got a response back shortly with a confirmation email. The instructions did not state where the building was located in the hospital. This is a 850 bed hospital in a big city! The instructions only said this:

Your interview is with Mr. Jones at 07:00 AM.

When you arrive to New York Medical Center, please contact Mr.Smith at (222)222-222 (Mr. Smith is the assistant to the hiring manager who will be interviewing me). Mr. Smith will escort you to the interview location/department.

That is all the email said he did not answer my question about where the building was at inside the hospital. I think I will sound unprofessional if I arrive to the hospital 20 minutes early and then contact Mr. Smith to play hunt and find. I saw that the recruiter sent a copy to Mr. Smith.

I am a new grad and I absolutely DO NOT WANT TO HAVE ANY MINOR NEGATIVE IMPRESSIONS TO THIS COMPANY. I have applied to over 300 positions and this is my first interview. I want to send Mr. Smith a email a few days before the interview. I want to ask him what building inside the hospital should I go to.I only want to call him on the day of the interview like the email stated.

I could email the HR recruiter and ask him what building should I go to, but I already asked him when I set the appointment and he did not answer the question. The email he sent me looked like a master auto reply form where you just change the date and time. Maybe he forgot to answer my question and just sent the auto reply confirmation email.

You can always call and ask an operator for additional info or make a "dry run" and scope out the place-go in and ask around. And check your grammar a bit- your "an" vs "a" could use some work (I'm in no way a grammar policeperson, just pointing out a error... I mean "an error" Good Luck
