reappling rn license after one year of bar

I'm trying to seek some infos on how to correctly re-apply RN license after one year of bar. I happened to use my phone while on my break during nclex exam. Do you have any infos on what should I include in my form regarding the disciplinary action? and how many references would I need? I did my time but still do I need to go through all the explanation??

thank you.

You'll need to talk to the BRN to get accurate info on this. Best to get answers directly from them.

I agree. The BRN is the best source for your answers, because anything they say will trump whatever we say here. Write/call them and see what they want from you. Keep in mind that if you want them to grant you another chance to test, you will have to jump through whatever hoops they hold out regardless of what you think about those hoops and your time served.

I would also recommend involving an attorney experienced with dealing with BRNs, as the BRN is not the nurse's friend. You can find such attorneys here: TAANA Executive Office - Home.

Best of luck. And should they grant you a second chance to test, leave the cell phone at home.

thank you guys for your answers. I did call BRN but they do not answer the calls! what is the quickest way to get hold of BRN? without driving up there or writing an email. (I tried emailing but in vain).

thanks,

T

I've always had the best luck in e-mailing them.

Keep in mind that they're backlogged as it is, plus the holiday, so it may take a bit before they get back to you.
