Reaching out for advice on which route to take

Okay. I am in my 2nd semester of LPN school. I went the LPN route to alleviate waiting time to get into an RN program. Here's my dilemma.....do I continue on, get my ADN, or go right into a BSN program? The situation is complicated by the fact that I have enough college credit to get a degree in say Health Administration quicker than I could get a BSN. After I finish the LPN program I can transition to RN in 1.5 yrs. So.....my thinking is that I will transition, then get a bachelor's degree in some other field. AAAAAAAhhhh. I don't know what to do here. Help? please?

Here it only takes 2 semesters plus a brige class to get your ADN once you have your LPN. If getting your ADN is going to take 1.5 yrs. I would definitely look into getting your BSN. Since you have so many credits you could probably do it quickly. Best to you, Jules

I went the long slow route myself; now I usually advise other people to go for the BSN because it gives more flexibility.

Then you could think about a Master's degree- either in nursing, with an Admin focus, or in Health Care Administration, or MBA. You could go in any of those directions with a BSN.

I meant to add: if you're going to be on a waiting list, go ahead and get your LPN program finished. The experience is never a bad thing!

Really?!?! so lemme make sure i'm understanding this and hopefully im not jacking this thread...but once you have your BSN, two more years in Business school and you can have your MBA?? Is that right?
