"W" on transcript HELP!!!

Hi,

I was reading someone else's post and she said that she had encountered difficulties due to having W on transcripts. I have a few W's also....and I have a 4.0 at my school now. At my previous school I had A's & B's. I have nothing LOWER than a B (besides W) on my transcripts. I never thought about the W's having an effect....no one (advisers) have said anything about them, but I never really pointed it out and asked anyone either. Could the W's keep me from getting in my ADN program? Has anyone had issues with W's? I dropped because of stress, death of my father, and my job moving almost an hour away in the middle of the semester. I though that was better than failing and having F on my transcript.

I have (4) W's, and I am attempting transfer to another college, thank you for bringing this to light, i think I better talk to someone. I was always told a W is way better than an F. Now I am worried.
