"NEW" 25 to 35 yr. old students

Hello, everyone!

I am a 29-year old wife and mom, married two years to my partner of 8 years. Our son is three. I am appling to Accelerated BSN programs in the NYC area, and will have finished my pre-reqs by December.

I currently work in clinical research, but my hubby and I decided that a nursing degree would be a huge asset, especially as we do not always want to be in NYC. I adore clinical research, but if we move to, like, Scranton, PA or something, my options would be very limited. Also, we want to live in Zimbabwe, Africa for a couple of years (that is where my hubby is from), and nursing would be a great use of my time there.

Anyway, it's nice to hear from so many others "in the same boat"- career changers, new to nursing, multiple obligations. Good luck to everyone!

Hello,

I just turned 26 last month, mom to 3 boys ages 6, 3, and 4 1/2 months, married 1 year in July to my wonderful husband, and as of Friday we'll have 2 dogs and a kitten join our family. I am taking pre-reqs at the moment, hopefully i only have 2 semesters left and I can apply Spring 2010 for Fall 2010. Good luck to everybody!

I'm a 28-year-old mother to two boys, ages 10 and 8. I'll be 31 when I graduate with my BSN. I hope the next three years goes by as quickly as the last two did, while taking my pre-reqs. Hello to all the fellow "older" students out there! :hpygrp:

Hi everyone! I'm a 29-year-old mother to a 4 year old and 2 year old and have been married for 6 years. I'll be finished with my pre-req's in the fall, then I will apply to the nursing program...finally!!

Hello. I'm a 26 (27 june 30th) BSN student. Graduate May 2010. I ahve 2 children a son 6yrs, and a 3 uear old daughter. I am engaged to be married june of 2011.
