"Attitudes" in nursing career

Published

How do yu handle bad attitudes of your co -workers? Some of them show bad attitude because they are stressed out! I'm having difficulty of dealing bad attitude with nurses. Some co -workers say "just ignore them , that's thier personalities!" The thing is, if I see this kind of attitude, it makes me feel un-easy and I get so upset and ruins my night. I see this so often, I get overwhelmed and makes me think to quit because I don't want to deal with it. It's just not fair for us "CNA's" to be treated this way.I am a happy go lucky person, easy to get along with, friendly, sweet, sensitive and timid. I feel like I get walked all over because I don't speak up for myself!

brush those people off. you are there to take care of your patients. be the best CNA you can.

you never know what happens when that person leaves work to really see why they are so grumpy. misery loves company, sometimes. and some people are just rude.

i know it's easier said than done, but ignore the bad behavior. people that scowl all the time get more wrinkles, anyway :)

I asked myself why they act like that, just rude!...Ohh! guess what, they are veterans to the facility! They have been there for ages!!! That would tell something, They think they have the right to act like that and they can get away with it.....And also, yeah!!!I asses their personal life they are miserable.. That's why...But I think it's really unfair to take their stressed out onto us or to work!!!! I now prepare myself everytime I go to work If I knew that I'm working with this people!!

you won't be working with all women in nursing :)

we all have our personal issues..... some people just like drama.

yap, that's true!!!!

My personal philosophy "Kill them with kindness!!" Make them laugh at a funny situation, or just laugh a lot around them. I works most of the time for me.
