Quit nursing school for Radiology?

Published

Hello all! I am in my first semester of an ADN program and I'm feeling so overwhelmed. I didn't know mental breakdowns could occur this soon in nursing school. :nailbiting: Well anyway, I was thinking about applying to the radiology program at my school again (I was accepted early this year but declined and went with nursing) and I'm just torn on what to do! I don't know if they will even accept me again because then it would affect their graduation numbers for the nursing program. How do I overcome this feeling of being defeated by school? Any advice or words of encouragement is welcome!

If nursing is what you wanted to aim for, I'd strongly suggest sticking with it. Radiology isn't a walk in the park either, but if your heart was in nursing before, then don't give up now.

Nursing school is all about finding yourself, digging deep, and remembering the reason "why". I often feel defeated, like.... how am I supposed to remember so much in so little time? but then I remember that the human brain is capable of crazy things, and if there have people that have done it before me, then surely I can too.

I believe in you, Unique! Take one day at a time and count the small victories. Before you know it, graduation day will be here :)

Thank you for your encouraging feedback! It really means a lot to me right now.

I'm glad! I'm just a PM away if you ever need to vent!
