Questions for WCCCD students

I have a question about the dress code for clinicals. I have some visible tattoos and piercings. I am sure the piercings have to go, but I was wondering if anyone knows about the covering of tattoos. They are on my wrists. Also, what type of jewelry, if any, is allowed?

Dita, I don't attend WCCCCD anymore, but at HFCC, the students are told to cover their tats with Band-Aids. A watch is allowed, no weddings rings. Small posts with no stones in them are permitted. No hoops. No dangly earrings.

This may or may not be different for your school.

Hello everyone.

I applied for the nursing program at wcccd for the fall. I was just reading over the information sheet about the vaccinations and physical and cpr course. Does anyone have any tips about this? I am on my second hep b shot and I cant have my 3rd one until August 20th. Do you think this will be a problem? It says that I have to have all of this stuff by orientation. I guess my question is when would orientation typically be? Also, can I just go to my regular doctor and ask for a physical or is there a special form or type of physical I should ask for?

Any help would be appreciated.

HA! I am getting my 3rd and final shot tomorrow. I am getting ready to start my 2nd semester. I was also concerned about it and asked. They said as long as I am in the process I should be fine.

Dangit, I don't want to get a shot tomorrow....:bluecry1::eek::no::cry:
