Questions about nursing school ???

Published

:loveya:hello , everyone!I am new here.I have some questions about nursing school,ia any one can help me with my confusion..thank you.

1 what is the procesure to enter a ASN nursing program?

my understanding is?:

hand in an application to community college(for some pre-requsit course)-----pass the assesment test(english &math)-----start pre-requsit course-------at the same time prepare for TEAS-------pass TEAS-----hand in application for nursing school----school puts me on the waiting list-----wait for 2 years-----start the nursing program.if my idea is correct???

2 how many chances do we have for the TEAS and the NCLEX test if we failed.

3,do the community colleges have waiting list of the LPN TO ASN program.

how long it is.

i know it is a long way to go .but i will not give up. the key thing is i need to figure out how to get start.thank you for your kind help for answering my questions.

Hi!

I am also new to the nursing school thing! I decided one day it was long enough and just jumped into school. I am 29 and have 3 kids so it was an unusually big jump for me to make. But heres the deal I am working on.....attending comm. college took an assessment test and found out I had forgotten alot of math, so had to take 2 extra math classes just to get up to the right level for the nursing, am still working on pre-reqs, but as soon as I finish my last math class I can take the entrance test for the RN program(all the while working on all the psychs and sciences) I will be done this spring with all non-nursing courses then with my passing grade on the test I can enter the program in the Fall 09 and will be taking only the nursing classes. Well that is of course if the program doesnt have a waiting list, which if you can believe right now there isnt one!! So you are absolutely on the right track with everything. Better get busy, it takes awhile, I am getting so impatient just want to be there already!! Good luck!!
