Well, allnurses.com comes to the rescue once again! This answers all of my questions about my first nursing interview and what to expect. Now, I can prepare my responses and feel confident about the interview. The only question I have now is ....what to wear? I am only going to fill out an application tomorrow, so I don't think it will be considered an interview yet. Does this situation require full on dress suit, or more casual. Please, I need all of the dress code help that I can get!
Thanks a billion,
Shegal

I wouldn't walk into nurse recruiting to pick up my meal tickets for clinical unless I was in dress pants and a button down blouse. That was actually on the recommendation of our CI - she suggested that if we wanted to work at that hospital, it was never to early to start making a good impression on the recruiters. I don't know that filling out an ap REQUIRES a suit, but if you have one it can't hurt - do you know for a fact that they won't offer you an interview on the spot? I would definitely wear something that would be appropriate for an office job - you definitely don't want to be dressed more casually than the secretary. Every job I applied for only accepted online applications, but if I had any reason to believe I might be talking to HR/recruiters, I dressed for it.
Thanks for the advice. I decided to play it safe with a business casual skirt, blouse and black low heeled pumps. You never know!
