I am currently working as a home health cm. I interviewed today with humana for a work from home position as a CM. I am wondering if anyone has any input on this type of work from home job. My main curiosity is how flexible is it? my current position is very flexible, half in the field and half at home work but I would rather be at home all the time if it is still as flexible. anyone know if you are monitored and have to be online or at your desk for solid 8 hours? is there any way you finish your work before 8 hours ? any input would be great, I am new to this site and would appreciate any information.

I'm a new cm nurse and I will be working from home hopefully by December . I would like to hear that answer as well.
working as home health nurse is very flexible about 3 hours seeing patients and the rest at home charting, phone calls and documentation but it allows you to do your charting at a later time at night if you prefer. i am use to the flexibility there but can no longer work out in the field and was just wondering how flexible it is at home. what is the reason you are switching to home in december?
I will hopefully be working from home because it's a great option that is offered where I work and I would love not to have to travel in and get dressed up to go to work;) . I love it so far...very interesting. Did u get that job?
I work for an insurance company doing utilization review.
