Question for those who went the full 265 questions for NCLEX

Published

Hi there, I just took the NCLEX on Wednesday (today is Saturday, no news yet) and went the full 265 questions for better or worse.

I wanted to ask those of you who also went the full 265 if you remember what type of question your last question was (content, analysis, etc.) and how long it took for you to get your results. I think mine was analysis but I'm not sure if I got it right and/or if it means I passed or didn't pass the test (per Kaplan).

If it matters, I took the test in California.

Thank you for your responses!!

I took......eh, 112,117, 124...............cant remember. Something in the lower 100's. A friend of mine though went the full length. He said it took forever. He did pass though.

I ended up also getting all 265 questions but I have no clue what my last question was. I remember the whole test took me over 4 hours (with a break) and I was a nervous wreck by the end. I was able to get my results online 48 hours after completing the test, but I don't think they have that option in CA. Just remember, the number of questions you answered means nothing, all it tells you is how many questions you answered, not what your chances of passing or failing are. I know people that failed with 75 and passed with 265 and visa versa. Just try to do something else to take your mind off the waiting. There are threads on this website with suggestions for that too. Best of luck, let us know how you did!!

Hi,

I went the full 265 I don't recall my last queston but I do know when I got home I looked it up and I was correct. However I still ended up retaking it. When I got my scores I was only low on one section of the test all the other categories I passed. From what I have read you are either at the level of passing or right below. You must be ABOVE the leveling of passing for all. I am not sure how much above but if passing is 78 you need to be above 78 to pass nclex and not at 78.

Good luck,

I found mosby's review cd awesome for study prior to retake. My retake shut off at 85.

I had all 265 and within 3 hours I found out I passed. In WV the board of nursing updates every couple of hours. I took mine at 8am and finished around 11:30am. Had my results by 6pm that night.

Thanks you for all your responses thus far. Still waiting and hoping.

Any California people go 265 and wait longer than 3 days?

I took 265 questions, missed the last answer, adn passed it!

I just took the NCLEX-RN (Delaware) yesterday, Feb. 20th, 2012, had to answer all 265 questions. And around 12:33pm today, Feb. 21st, I got email from the state that I passed the exam, and my license would be in the mail.

I am just so happy, and really blessed. it has been a struggle for me and my husband. Not to mention that we are expecting our 2nd angel on june. I didnt go for any review center, just borrowed books from the library. And checked articles nursing articles online. I am so blessed.
