Question regarding RN License

In the State of Illinois, how long does it take for RN licenses to be issued after passing the NCLEX-RN? When I can expect my license in my mail?

Is the wait near 2 or 4 weeks? Longer?

Thank you for any feedback.

I dont know that ive ever seen anyone wait more than 4-6 weeks. They try to get things out as soon as they can. But remember in Illinois all licensing is handled by the Dept of Professional Registration. Not just RN's, but any and every other profession in the state that requires you hold a license.

Thank you for the response. I guess I'll just wait it out then. Patience is virtue.

I took & passed my NCLEX at the end of June and received my license in the mail around July 15...I thought they moved pretty fast....:coollook:

So I finally have my name up on the idpr website. How long will it take now for the actual paper license to come by mail?

If you found your name on the website you are good to go. Any employer will be able to check your licensure on the website and let you practice. They will however require you bring in your license for a copy for your personel file. That is just standard practice. Most will not hold you back simply because you dont have your paper in your hand yet.
