Hi there,
I am a Japanese registered nurse who has eight years of hospital experience in Japan. I would like to take the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination (CPNRE) and hopefully get a RPN license in Ontario. When I consulted National Nursing Assessment Service (NNAS), they said that I need language proficiency of IELTS: speaking 7, listening 7.5, reading 6.5, writing 7, overall 7 (Academic format), so as to be eligible to take the CPNRE. However, it is impossible for my language to reach so high a level in a short period, and on the other hand, I do not have money to take a two-year RPN program in Otario. So is there any other way to compensate my language level, so that I can take the CPNRE directly? Thanks a lot!

According to CNO there are other options for English. http://www.cno.org/en/become-a-nurse/registration-requirements/language-proficiency/accepted-language-proficiency-tests/
