Question for past ROTC nursing students

Published

What was your cumulative GPA when you went through the OML/selection process? I know it is based off of cumulative GPA (mine is 3.38 as of now with one year to go before I go through it). I wish it was based only on my nursing GPA which is around a 3.9, but my understanding is that they base it off your cumulative instead.

I'm simply trying to gauge how competitive I will be in getting AD next year. I should be able to get my GPA up to a 3.5 by the end of the year if I perform well these next 2 semesters.

You should be fine, but if you don't get AD who cares? You just got your school paid for and you will most likely get an RN job within a few months of graduation. As a new nurse I made what O-2/3 made on the active side, got a better experience IMO and dealt with less BS (albeit worse patients).

The only kids who should be worried about AD are those who majored in gen studies and CJ
