question about oxytrol

I am not really familiar with urology nursing, but I have a question.I just saw my urologist for a f/u after dx of interstitial cystitis in sept.He feels strongly that mine is auto-immune related. He gave me elavil 25 mg qd which isn't helping much.Today he gave me oxytrol(oxybutynin transdermal) to use in addition to elavil to try for 6 weeks. Is ditropan a common drug used for ic?He said i have one of the worst cases he has ever seen in a 30 yr old female. My joints and muscles ache all over all the time and I'm so tired all the time. This fatigue is even without the elavil. He swears the ditropan will stop most of my achey/fatigue symptoms.Any opinions on ditropan?Just curious if this patch is commonly used for this(I.C.).
