Question about MCC ASN-BSN pathway.

Hey all,

I am in the pool for MCC with a stamp of 8/11 8:03:36. Based on the time stamps of those who were placed for spring 14, I have a good feeling about being placed for Fall 14. I hope anyway.

Anyway, I have currently already completed the coreqs for the MCC program, as well as all but one of the prereq/coreqs for the BSN program (either CEP or Pathway). I don't want to do the CEP path because of the workload, and having 2 young kids at home is going to make getting one degree at a time hard enough. I have spoken to a nursing advisor who wasn't very helpful in explaining how it works and how you get into it. I found some links though the nursing home page and through ASU's transfer pages.

From what I understand is that I just need to have at least a 2.75 in the listed pre reqs, maintain a C average in all other classes, and be placed and in at least block I to get signed up for the ASU pathway.

My questions are

Is there any sort of application or does anyone who wants to be in the pathway program automatically get in as long as they meet the minimum qualifications?

If there is an application, are there limited spots and is it competitive?

If you have completed your BSN or at least in the ASU portion of getting your BSN, was the transition between the 2 colleges pretty simple (outside of passing the NCLEX)?

I just want to be prepared and while I'm waiting take any additional courses to make getting into the pathway as simple as possible.
