Question about Lynn's CPNE Workshop

i'm going to lynn's cpne workshop in march and i was wondering if anyone else has been to this one?

if so, what should i do to prepare for the workshop?? any suggestions?

The one in march is in dallas right? I really want to go to this one, there is only 2 spots left but I have to wait a few more days to get the money for it. So hopefully I will be there!

Graduated from Excelsior in 2007. Don't really like any discussion boards about this (had a hard time even thinking about Excelsior, CPNE after that just wanted out). BUT LYNN on the other hand is GREAT!!!!! I went to her workshop twice (she offered a discount if you attended more than once). She and Bev are great......This will SO PREPARE you for the CPNE. The EC guide for CPNE is a good guide, but Lynn's workshop put's it all together, makes you focus on what you need to pass....face it the CPNE stinks.........but to pass it on one try will be worth your effort, call Lynn or email, she offers lots of study materials that will help your prepare for her class beforehand, I did and attending the 2nd time pulled it all together.......she is there for you every step of the way. People worry about the expense, but threre things people can cut....cable tv is not essential......expensive cell phone plans......dining out...if you have to make a sacrifice do it.

Good luck

Donna

Her class was good. Make sure you look over the CPNE requirements before you go. It will help you to follow along better. Also bring your Mosby book with you. Good luck.

Went to Lynn's workshop, and she was definitely one of the reasons I passed CPNE on the first try with no PCS or lab repeats. When you register, she will email you some information on how to prepare for the workshop. It's well worth it, and much cheaper than other workshops.

I went to this workshop. We didn't practice any labs, and she gave a lot of incorrect information. Fortunately, I asked the EC faculty lots of questions and found out the right answers. Go to the EC workshop instead.

Where it is true that Lynn hs little or no practice time for labs at her workshop she does provide videos and theory information to practice the labs after the Workshop. Student have to remember that Lynn's Workshop is priced so that students can afford it, but.... "IT IS MORE OF A SEMINAR TYPE WORKSHOP".

If you need more hands-on there are other workshop available

I went to Lynns workshop in Dallas. It was okay for a beginning workshop, I was disappointed too that we had no hands on practice, her website makes it seem like you will, considering she has a picture of a lady practicing on a mannequin and it also says "How to perform the 5 required Simulated Labs & calculations (Full lab set up with actual manikins just like the actual weekend)" She didnt have any of the stuff to practice on. We didnt even open our skills bag that we were told to buy. She just showed a video of her doing the labs, which was okay but I wish we had hands on. She is a nice lady though and does have some good tips.

I learned more from Sheri Taylors online workshop though and it was cheaper. You can also watch Sheri's videos over and over at home . She also answers questions very quickly and offers a ton of support!

I was also disappointed when I flew that far, had airport security search and swipe my bag contents, and then we didn't even use them! She did tell us how to make out a grid, but I don't think I had to spend all that money to find that out. I passed with no repeats, but I can't give the workshop credit for that. I used the forum, emailed faculty a lot of practice documentation for feedback, and I had a study partner. Lynn's nice, and she answers your questions... but not all of the answers are right

When I registered for her workshop, I learned that she has put over 500 graduates through this program and that her passing rate is based on the number of people who passed on first try, not who have passed after attending her class.

It says on her web site that practice is optional. A few of us did stay for practice at the workshop that I attended. It also says that on travel workshops she doesn't bring the manikins. You have to read the writing not look at the pictures.

Before I signed up for Lynns workshop I called Excelsior and the testing center. Lynn was recommended to me by one of the CE's as a good outside workshop. I read her web page thoroughly and it says on her web site that practice is optional. It also says that she doesn't bring the manikins to the away workshops.

The workshop I attended was in Dallas too. Most of the students elected NOT to stay for the practice, some of us did. She was great working with us. Everything she teaches she backs up with a page number from the study guide. All of her information given in the workshop has a reference page for you to verify! If she's wrong then the study guide is wrong! Cause she list page numbers for everything!

I called Lynn and talked to her. She has helped over 500 students go through this program. Her passing rate is based on the number of students who have passed on the first try, not over all. One of the other workshops mentioned has had disclaimers listed on Excelsior's web site for students being kicked out of the program because she helped them cheat. I read it on the EPN network. Go look through the archives its written up in there.

I would never have passed if it weren't for Lynn's workshop. Every one is different and everyone learns in the a different way. What does work for some may not work for others. However, my money is on Lynn. I have sent several of my co- workers to her and all of them passed on the first try too.

Lynn is the woman when it comes to the CPNE! Even Excelsior says so!
