Question about Kaiser

Howdy everyone,

Just had a few questions about Kaiser's CRNA school. Do you guys know how many, on average, apply to this school and how many they accept?

Also, to those who have been accepted (accepted, already in, or graduated) what your GPA, science GPA, GRE scores, and/or CCRN attainment?

Also, how hard is it to live on loans with the cost of living and such being so high in California?

Thanks,

preCRNA

i want to say it was something like 400+ inquiries, i think that means applications sent, 200+ qualified applications recieced I THINK). this year 78 interviewed, 35 accepted.

i started sept 2003. adn 2.8 bachelors 4.0

6.5 years nursing. of that 1.5 acute care hemodialysis. the rest msicu.

KAISER doesnt require graduate entrance exam.

get all the loans you can. i have a wife and 2 kids, daycare, rent, utilities, etc way up there, more than i thought there would be.

wife does work, but it really just makes a dent.

pm me if you have any more specific questions i can help with.

I have some more specific questions about the interview process. How many are on the panel and who does it consist of. What questions were you asked, duration of interview, any pointers for successful interview at their program. I really appreciate the help.

I graduate this fall from Kaiser. The interview process includes 12 people in the room in a u-shaped set-up. You are sitting at the open end.

4 people are Jrs/Srs., 2 CRNAs that are practicing, 2 MDAs and 4 faculty.

The questions range from what do you like to do in your spare time to scenerios of disagreements with MDs and how you would handle the situation.

No GRE (only proves you can study and take a test) They want to know of your past accomplishments, your committee work and your proven teamwork/leadership.

Good Luck!
