A New Agent to Reverse Rocuronium?
I think that it may. You could have a fast onset like succs then a fast reversal without the negative side effects like fasciculations and Type II block, that is assuming that you would be able to reverse the block that easily. I would be great for intubations especially. preCRNA

interview
I don't know anything about that program, but since I am in CRNA school right now I can tell you that you will definitely need a car, especially during the clinical portion. I guess that it might possible to get by without one, but it would make it so much easier seeing as you will be going to clinical very early in the morning and leaving at varying times of the day. And as to the question they might ask you about financing your education, I would try to save some money if you can now. If the interviewer knows that you have taken the time and personal responsibility to build up some money in a bank account, they will think more highly of you. (Please realize that it is not very likely that you will be able to save enough money to finance even half of school finances, but to have some money saved just in case is something happens.) Hope this helps, preCRNA

A New Agent to Reverse Rocuronium?
That is awesome. I hope that this drug continues to have good results because it would make those shorter cases a little more managable. preCRNA

Clinical Topics
RN29306 is right, I don't think many of those pre-CRNA's who are not in CRNA school will visit that Future Advanced Practice Forum. I think that everyone would be surprised at how much the "Clinical Anesthesia Forum" proposed by the previous poster would be used.

Myers-Briggs Personality Type & CRNA's
I guess my type is kinda rare too, only 2% of the population. Anyway, I start CRNA school at MMC in August.

CRNA vs. Politics
I am a youngin' and I haven't even started CRNA school yet but I will next fall.:) I personally am excited about the chances of being involved with the public and increasing the public approval of nurse anesthesia. I think that this is the best field in healthcare, bar none. That said, I would feel extremely guilty for not working to keep the profession alive while 10% of the practicing nurse anesthetists do 90% of the work. But, I also agree that if the ones that are against all of the "politics" of nurse anesthesia truly make themselves the best anesthesia providers they can be, they will still be advancing the profession. Just remember that if people refuse to get involved in this profession on a policial or social level then that can't complain when something they don't like happens in these aspects. preCRNA

I took an online course through Weber State University. Its actually 5 credits and is entitled Elementary Organic Chem/Biochem. You should check it out. Help! Kaiser Permanente Interview
Thanks for the advice catcolalex. I agree with you, I think that the admissions people are looking for people who can be calm in unnerving situations. I will work on that.
