question about failing nclex

Published

Good afternoon everyone! It's my first time posting here but i have previously been to the site for support while studying for the nclex. It has been a big help, especially emotionally after having failed the nclex. So thanks for those who posted and offered encouraging words. After a couple of tries, i have passed and am now an RN. The next hurdle is applying for jobs. I just have a quick question for the moderators or for anyone who knows: is there any way for potential employers to check/find out if i have taken the nclex more than once and failed? and would this be held against me? Thank you in advance for anyone who replies. God bless. :icon_hug:

Congratulations!!!! I don't think that they can tell how many time you took nclex. The only thing I think that want to see is proof that you have a valid license to pratice as an RN.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Congratulations on passing, all employers will want to know is that you have a license not how many times you failed. Many good nurses failed it a few times

thank you nurdar and silverdragon102 for your kind replies. hopefully i can get a job soon so that i can finally practice and be the RN i wanna be. for those who haven't taken the nclex yet or for those who have not passed, please don't give up!

Good luck, I am sure that you will be fine!:redpinkhe
