I have a question need to help to figure out on the TN endorsement form .They asked
What is your activity (work ) status in the nursing profession?
1)working full time in nursing
2)working part time in nursing
3)not worked in nursing for less than 2 years
4) not worked in nursing for less than 2 years but less than 5years
5) not worked in nursing 5 years or more
13years ago I graduated my nurse school in my country and 10 years ago came to USA. I prepared my RN exam 2years ago and got my RN license at the end of the last year. Could you tell me how do I answer this question on the form?
I think I don't need to fill out this question because they asked about What is your activity (work ) status in the nursing profession after you got your RN license in USA.

Are you working currently? That's what it's asking. Are you currently working as an RN and, if not, when was the last time you worked as an RN? You haven't provided enough information for us to guide you in answering this question.
My last time working in nursing profession as an RN was 10 years ago in my country, but that was my country's RN license. The USA does not accept forgein RN licenses. Although I have my RN liscence now, I have not worked in any nursing proffesion so far.
So your answer would be 5- not worked in nursing in more than 5 years.
I didn't take the RN exam when i first came to the States ten years ago. It wasn't until two months ago that i passed the RN examination. So it's not like i came to the states, passed the exam, and didn't work in the nursing proffesion for ten years. I took the exam two months ago so do i still answer the question that way?
I also think that the time I spent working in my country as a nurse doesn't count in terms of the question. I think that it only starts counting after I passed the US RN exam.
What do you think?
I looked at the form and I still think your answer is that you haven't worked in nursing in > 5 years. The form doesn't say "what is your work status in the nursing profession since entering the United States", it says "what is your activity (work) status in the nursing profession"? It's asking for your current status in the nursing profession. If you haven't worked as a nurse in 10 years, I don't know how else you would answer the question other than saying that you haven't worked in nursing in more than 5 years. I would advise against leaving any questions blank.
KelRN215,thanks for your answer. I have a new question about this form. The question is
Have you taken a national licensing examination ? please indicate State_Date_
My condition is I took the RN exam from TN but for CA RN license .How do I answer this question?
