You are unable to recieve your commission until you pass the NCLEX. After that you will commission into the IRR and then within 72 hours of reporting to OBLC you will commission again into active duty. Speak with your recruiter to find out your areas POC for PCS moves. Call them and ask them when you are able to move your family. If you are able to move your family before OBLC it will only be a short time before since you are not on active duty until the second oath of office 72 hours before you report. I could be wrong on this that is why you need to speak with the representives at the office who is in charge of PCS moves.

I'm an Army AECP student who will graduate on Dec. 12th. I just got my notification that I will be in the March 29th OBLC. Does anyone know if I can get my commission before getting to OBLC? Someone told me that you could get you commission after passing the NCLEX but I don't have any other information on that. Is there anyone here who may know how the commissioning process works? I will most likely take the NCLEX in January and I would like to get my commission ASAP; I don't want to have to wait for March 29th. Also, I was notified that I will be PCSing to Tripler. Does anyone know if I have the option to move my family before OBLC?
