Hi I have this question regarding a young man with Cystic Fibrosis and who is concerned about his weight loss. The question asks How do we respond to his concerns? To me my response would be How does this make you feel? I am also looking at education for the patient to give him more insight on his condition regarding the weight loss and alternative to help him.
I am wondering what else could I ask that would be effective? With what I have mentioned earlier, would it be appropriate?
I very much look forward to your responses

I think your response is appropriate, because it is directly addressing his concerns, and effectively getting more information in which you can use to educate him. Although, I am saying this because that is the only answer you provided us with

Seems pretty good, and once you have gotten his feelings about it you need to stress that it will be addressed with nutrition. Will be lots of patient education between you and nutrition to make sure his needs are met. Should calm his worries regarding weight loss.
Be safe
