Hi there, new member here! I've been lurking around these fourms and have learned a lot about LVN/LPNs!
I could use some help. I've been doing a bunch of research for LVN schools. And to me it seems like there are two options. The public LVN school at the community college and the private LVN schools.
Can anyone recommend me a good school? I've noticed that some LVN schools do not offer an AA degree in LVN nursing, will that be a problem? I'm considering one of those private LVN schools. Besides the cost, is there anything I should look out for? (BTW, I live in the CA area).

I attended one of those private, expensive LVN programs in the Los Angeles area, and have not had any problems finding employment. Most private school LVN programs offer diplomas of vocational nursing, not degrees. Most community college LVN programs in CA offer diplomas of vocational nursing, not degrees.
You may encounter issues if you want to bridge to an RN program, since most private school programs are not regionally accredited. They are only state approved. Good luck to you!

Thanks for the response! What did you think about your overall experience about your school? :redbeathe
Is there a website that lists regionally accredited LVN schools, or how do I find out if it is?
