RPNs (LPNs) and RNs only share an educational track to a point. Many provinces won't accept partial completion of the RN track as entry to practice for the RPN/LPN field because there are specific differences in scope of practice and they prefer that candidates for PN status actually have PN education. You need to check with the licensing body for PNs in the province where you're planning to live. Ontario is pretty strict about things.

Can I just ask why your age should be taken into consideration?
I know in my province that graduation from an approved PN education programme or an evaluation of an overseas education is required before being permitted to write CPNRE.
