hello there
i just have a question for all the nurses in the united states. i am currently a nursing student here in australia and i still have 2 years more to go (cant wait :) ). i am just wondering if i have to take the nclex exams to be able to work as a nurse in the us. as far as i know, in australia you just have to pass all your units and that's about it. so i just wanted to know if i have to prepare myself to for that exam...i hope you can help me.:blushkiss
thanks a lot and may god bless you all:nurse:

hey there down under!!
unfortunately, yes, you have to take the nclex to work as a nurse in the u.s. there are a lot of resources that can prepare you for the test. if i were in australia, i don't know if i would leave!! i went for a summer and loved it!! good luck.

Yes, you have to take the NCLEX as the above poster told you. I am just curious as to why you would want to leave AU! I am getting my nursing degree with the hope of being able to migrate to AU in a few years! We really want to live in Adelaide.
Tell you what, you come over here and pretend you are me and I will go over there! Is it a deal?
Hello there again :)
I really wanted to thank the both of you for replying to my question:wink2: The reason why I wanted to go to US is because i have heaps of relatives there who are nurses like you guys. I have nothing against working here in OZ, in fact I am currently working in the hospital now. Anyways, I was in Adelaide last year and I really did like the surroundings there compare with the territory i am living right now. Although, the weather was the only problem the I had:rotfl:
Once again...THANKS A LOT
