Hi everyone! I read this somewhere and I'm wondering if this is accurate? Please anyone enlighten me, thanks!!!
"For those planning to apply for Calif, they do not release your license after passing the NCLEX. You have to provide them first with a US SSN (Social security No.) before they will do so. You are given three years to comply. If you fail to submit a SSN, they will destroy your file after 3 years. And you cannot get a SSN unless you have been employed. Therefore, if a retrogression will eventually occur, better apply at other states who will issue your license upon passing the NCLEX."
Basically there are a few states which require SSN before they will issue you with a license. If you don't provide them with a SSN within the time limit your file is destroyed. You do not have to sit NCLEX again just restart your application with said BON

Hi there! I took my NCLEX last Oct 5. I was not able to give my ssn during registration. I'm having a hard time for the result so I called the BON & they said thay have to hold my result till I give the ssn. I was begging to give me an idea if I pass or not but was rigid & they asked to check this week after I fax the ssn. Any idea about my case? pls help me.

They will give results without SSN but will not release a license. They should send you a letter with your results and information re submitting a SSN. Do you have a SSN?
