Did anyone out there apply to the Presbyterian School of Nuring for Spring 2012? What were your Kaplan score, gpa etc? I'm so nervous and trying to see where I stand! We are supposed to hear something by September 15th!

Heyyyy guys !!!! I got my acceptance letter today for Queens BSN program !!!! wooohoooo !!! I am ecstatic !!!! I was jumping up and down in my driveway !!. I still haven't heard anything about the ASN program . It's weird . The deadline for the BSN was mid -september and the letters had already gone out!! Any ways , I think I'll go with the BSN !!!!! :yeah::yeah: good luck everyone !!!!

Wasn't the deadline for the BSN program Oct 5th?!?! And you already heard? The ASN deadline was June 15th? I don't even know what to think anymore :( maybe they are doing away with the ASN program...I've heard rumors :(

Congrats! I'm happy for you! Hopefully I'll get in to the other schools I applied to since who knows what's going on with Queens.

Way to go jmlucie!!! :anpom::yeah:I'm glad you updated us.

I guess the hope for us ASN folks continues to fade... But it's better to know SOMETHING, than nothing at all.

Ok . I spoke to a rep today at Queens to find out what the hold up is with the letters . Seems like the ASN program is at serious risk of loosing its accreditation. It's operationg under consent order and they are not sure wether or not they will even have an entering promotion in the spring.

I spoke directly to admissions after reading your post. The reason for the delay has nothing to do with losing accreditation. If this was the case there wouldn't be a BSN program either. Also the probationary status that PSON has (which was from the BSN program, from what I've heard) is no secret, and has been public knowledge since before we all applied. The status is in affect until 2013, meanng that the spring 2012 wouldnt be effected anyway. The admissions rep I spoke to today said they are making sure they accept the strongest students possible which is causing the delay; however, decisions have been made, the letters are written up and all that is needed is final approval in order to be mailed. She also told me not to believe the rumors and that no one from PSON would tell anyone who called the information that you posted previously. She said to call her for the truth in the future if we hear any rumors. I'm guessing that the competition for the ASN program was tougher since the majority usually apply to that program first.

With that said, I think we all just have a little longer to wait, but it's all worth it in the end! Good luck everyone!

Oh my GOD!!!! are you serious ??? this is the total opposite of what i've been told !! She told me that the Associate program is at risk of loosing it's accreditation and this has nothing to do with the BSN since they are accredited by different institutions , she also told me it is one of the reason why it's taking so long.

I don't know who or what to beleive anymore . Do these reps even know what they are talking about ? God knows . There's so many different information out there. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I hope your information is the correct one. Next time i call i'll just ask to speak to the dean instead.

I hope all this turmoil isnt present in their program

I have just received my letter of acceptance to CPCC's Spring 2012 class. I accepted due to PSON taking forever and a day to mail a bunch of letters. That being said, good luck ladies!

According to this site, they are in "warning status"

That's for the BSN degree. The ASN program is under consent order. I CAN'T BELIEVE WE HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING YET!

Well ladies I have officially given up on Queens. I kind of want to call them and ask them to refund my app fee and what I spent sending transcripts.

Spoke to a rep yesterday. She says letters are ready and they should go out by the end of the week.
