Aloha!

I just recently moved to Oahu and 3 of those facility offered me a job. I am an LPN and just recently graduated with my RN but still waiting to take my NCLEX so I decided to start working as an LPN while I am waiting to take my RN NClEX and get my foot on the door.

Queens offered me a part time at Hale Pulama mau

Straub hired me to work in one of their clinic --full time

Any advice on which should I accept? my main concern is when I get my RN license which one of these facilities will bumped me as an RN as soon as I get my license. I heard about New Grad program, any ideas on those? how hard to get in?

Thank you!

If your ultimate goal is to work as an RN in acute care, you should be looking for an aide/tech job on the inpatient side. Competition for new-grad positions is still very tight and many new grads still spend about a year working as aides/techs before being accepted.

Do you have any acute care experience? The role of LPN's in the acute setting has been rapidly disappearing over the years. Most employers will not count non-acute RN/LPN work experience so you're still in the same boat as new-grad RN's when it comes to applying for acute care positions.

i agree with the above comment. in order to get a new grad spot at straub, you have to work as a clerk/aide/tech for several months at least. the new grad program at queens is a little easier to get into, but still pretty competitive and queens only hires BSNs.
