Pvt bad pop up then good?

Published

Hey all, not sure if this topic has been posted prior but I couldn't find any relevant information regarding such.

I took the NCLEX-RN yesterday at 8 am. Finished with 102 questions. Kinda happy I passed 75 Qs because to be honest, I'm not a good test taker and on top of that I graduated 4 years ago. Well anyways, I did the PVT immediately after the exam and when I got the email stating I had finished the exam and I got the bad pop up. It was saying card was declined, contact card issuer. Then a few minutes ago upon waking up I decided to check again and I gor the "good pop up". Stating our records indicates blah blah.

What could this mean? Do I possibly have hopes of passing?

Yours would be an example of why getting a Card Declined message doesn't necessarily mean you failed, although most of the time that is what happens.

Any time you offer to pay online for something the merchant (in this case the PV registration program) is entitled to verify the validity of your card prior to processing the request. If it's found to be invalid, meaning wrong expiration date, wrong CVC, anything not 100% valid, then you find yourself with a Card Declined message. If it tests and you passed you are unlikely to be charged but of course that's the risk with playing the PVT game. If you use invalid info to avoid any chance of being charged then you also don't know any more after the PVT than you did before, as you have just found out.

Thanks for your input, I had used a prepaid visa debit with $10 on it. I've seen people doing the same hence the reason I did too. It's just very confusing. I understand it's a "trick". I guess I just have to wait till tomorrow. Thanks again!
