I have always wanted to become an RN but my 3 kids amongst other things have gotten in the way. Well, at 32 I would like to change that and just go for it. Doing something that I love and gaining my independence is what it's about for me.I have just registered at EL Camino college in order to start taking the pre- reqs for the nursing program in the fall. I would like some insight from anyone with personal experience or knowledge on this entire process... From the pre reqs to the NCLEX. I would love to hear from any mothers or anyone just starting out like me.
Thanks in advance.

I passed the NCLEX in January. My advice is to use ratemyprofessor.com for the pre-reqs to help ensure you sign up for the best instructors. There is a wide range of professors who teach pre-reqs.

I agree with the first post... Ratemyprofessor.com is a great start to give you an idea about the professor, his or her teaching style, and what to expect in the course itself. Good luck!!
