Pursue Nursing Carrer

I am new here and wanted to say ALOHA to everyone!!!

I got my degree in Nursing (BSN) more than 10 years ago. I never took the licensure test nor practiced nursing in clinical field. I have been working as a Human Resources for the U S military. I love my job but part of me still wants to pursue my 1st career (Nursing). I have contacted the California BON and was found eligible to take the NCLEX RN which I did 3 days ago. I was not expecting to pass it but It will be great if I did, if not then I will have to try again. My concern is I don't know anything about Nursing stuff anymore... Does anyone have information about refresher course for RN? Also, for NCLEX what review material would you recommend? Any information that you could extend will be greatly appreciated.

I am suprised you are eligible to sit for the NCLEX. Many states require you take an approved "refresher course" if you have not practiced for X number of years. To find a refresher course, your State BON should have a list of approved courses on their their website.

Are you sure you want to leave a stable job with the military for nursing?
