Im from Puerto Rico. And currently the ONLY CRNA school officialy aproved by the ANA is the Program they offer at the Interamerican University on the Arecibo district.
Recinto Medico lost their certification a few years back because students were failing the certification exam, or so I heard.
Hope this helps.
Im sorry to tell you this, but currently in PR, APRN aren't really practicing their profession. The only APN that practices is the anesthetist and THEY MUST be supervised by an MD. Also Im not sure you would like their salary, since an anesthetist make about $50,000 a year wich will never compare to the other states.
I heard that the VA hospital here in PR, hire APNs, and that the demand is currently big, but still they don't make the salary they make in the USA. Thats the reason most nurses that know English are moving out of PR. Im considering the option but still Im not sure....

Hello:
Does anyone know anything about the Puerto Rican CRNA schools listed on AANA program site list?
