Hey everyone!
Right now I volunteer at a hospital and I get a lot of patient contact. I'm enjoying it a lot and I'm thinking that a nursing career might be a better option for me (rather than MD or PA). I am a Spanish major and I love to travel. I want to be able to incorporate my Spanish as much as possible into my career. I can graduate in 2012 with a BA in Spanish and I can finish up nursing prerequisites.
My question to all of you is what programs should I be looking in to if I want to do public health nursing? Should I be looking at MSN programs or BSN? If you have some other nursing websites I should check out that would be greatly appreciated!
Ps - sorry if there are typos... I'm on an iPod
Thanks!
Or in my situation would it be better to just get an ADN? I want to work abroad and I would like to have a nursing degree to let me do more for patients than just a public health degree by itself. Thoughts?

I don't know what would be better, nowadays, if you are trying to get into it as a fresh-out. But I live in a rural area, and the two nurses who gave me my immunizations were not BS or MS. One was a diploma RN grad with 10 years prior experience as a floor nurse. The other was a ADRN who also moonlights in floor nursing per diem.
