Public Health to hospital nursing...?

Nurses General Nursing

Hey everyone! I am a relatively new grad RN. I graduated in May 2020 with my BSN. I had trouble finding a new grad residency because my husband and I moved about 2 hours away from my hometown. I had gotten 2 offers for new grad residencies at the two main hospitals in my hometown, but obviously had to decline the offers since I moved back in June. I have a job currently in public health at a local health department. I like my job ( I do TB and family planning here), but I want hospital experience...plus, public health does not pay worth of crap. My question is, if I apply for Spring and Summer 2021 residencies, would I have a good chance of getting hired? I have been in my job for 3 months... So even if I started a residency in July I would still only have 9 months experience as an RN. All of the residencies I have looked at have a requirement of under 1 year experience as an RN. Does anyone think I will run into trouble getting accepted into one? Thanks!
