Hello fellow life-savers.
First of all, just a word of encouragement to all my fellow nurses: YOU ROCK!!! ('cause I know I can use some sometimes!)
To get to why I'm really here: I've been working as an RN on a busy Med/Surg floor for a little over three years now, and I'm ready for a change. I want a change because I came into nursing because I like spending time with a patient, listening to his/her questions/concerns about health, and then educating them to the best of the abilities and resources I have, and yes, to be there for them as best I can in their time of health-related stress. Nowadays at work, I find that I'm not able to do that. I'm just tired of being asked to do more and more and more. I had a chance to travel outside the country and be involved in a free medical clinic this year- I loved it! And it brought me back to my true love in nursing: community/public health.
I want to go away from a hospital setting and hopefully work in a clinic/public health setting (I LOVE patient education!!). Does anyone know of any such job openings in Oklahoma? If so, please post on here!
Thank you.

Have you considered the Indian Health Service? I believe they have a lot of designated areas around OK.

Try posting this in the Oklahoma Nursing forum:
Oklahoma Nursing
If the above link does not work, click U.S. in the yellow menu above, and a listing of states should appear.
Hopefully there is someone in the OK Nursing forum who can point you in the right direction.
