It is all they say above. Worked in chem. dependency for several years, and believe me, those afflicted hate themselves more than those whom they hurt.
It's a long and never ending road. But you need to look out for YOU... your daughter must take responsibility for herself.. she will learn this hopefully sooner than later.
Do not enable her. Love her unconditionally, but do not enable her in any way, shape, or form. Be there for her, and keep communication lines open, but do not enable ! Can't stress that enough.
