Hi!
So in a couple of weeks I have what they call an oral exam for a psychiatric nursing position at the state's emergency locked facility. I had done my senior rotation there when in school a couple of years ago. Finally passed my boards in May and this is the first interview since coming out into the profession.
What is an oral exam? I assume it is an interview at the same time questions of the situation? What sort of topics would I expect? Should I invest into a little pocket book of psychiatric nursing to sort of refresh on the scope of practice?
I mean it has been a couple of years and I had references from my professors and preceptor at the time. It all looks good on paper but I don't want to fumble and fall in the interview. Any advice would be great! Thanks again!
