]Hey everyone. I wanted to create this thread since there's not a great base of information regarding the PSB-RN exam on allnurses.com. I have the exam coming up in a few weeks and I'm getting a little nervous as the days count down. If you've taken the PSB-RN exam in the past, pleaseee let me pick your brain with some questions I need answered! I would greatly appreciate it and honestly, ANY input about the exam would be wonderful, especially for future test takers! Anyways, the questions I had were:
1) How much time are you allowed for each section of the exam?
2) Are calculators allowed for the exam?
3) Any practice exams available online that prepped you?
etc. I'm asking because I need to best prepare myself to do well on this entrance exam! I honestly can't afford to fail it.
I aslo was told by mercy hospital that what ever you do not answer is NOT held against you. However, there is a newer lady running the Psb test at shadyside and she infact told me the opposite. That all are counted(answered and unanswered).Im not sure what to think at this point. I have to retake the science section only and am very nervous.I took bio in the summer and I am currently in A&P 1 and have a 94% but I still struggled with the science . Have not taken a chemistry course since 1985 and was only 2 correct questions away from scoring where I need to to apply to school and I did leave all of the physics ques blank. Any suggestions would be helpful . I did study the Barrons book and did not find it to be very helpful in the physics section. I dont have time for a physics class right now and stressed out about getting in to school. Arrrggggg....
I feel just awful about mine today that I took! I feel good about the Academic Aptitude and Science section but I feel liked I bombed the spelling. I also almost has a freak out during the reading comprehension because I let the time constraints get to me.
Did anyone else feel this way and then do better than they thought?
