provisionally accredited LPN school

Published

I was just accepted after months of waiting and passing the teas and all background and drug exams required. I go in today to get all my paperwork and they just now tell me the school has been put under provisionally accredited status and told me not to worry they should be getting full accreditation in the fall. Im supposed to start in 6 Weeks and I feel tricked. Should I still attend this school since I have no backup and im living now out of state here in WV just to attend this school. Will my LPN be able to transfer to RN nursing school if its under this status? And can I get my license in NC when move back? So much to worry about now when I was soo excited. Let me know, thanks :)

I think this is a question that you should ask the schools in North Carolina. I suggest e-mailing them or calling them to get clarification. I am also in the process of looking at LPN-RN programs (in case I don't get into my school's program) and most of the programs state on the page that you need to either: have an unencumbered LPN license in the state, and some mention that you need to be a graduate of a NLNAC program. Definitely, definitely check before you start the program!
