Is it normal for providence to pay their new grads for st Joseph , st Jude , mission such a low rate , is it based on have a adn or bsn ? My friend told me she got offered a new grad position at st Jude and she told me how much and I didn't believe her LOL . I just got into another residency program and I got offered 53.13... I wonder what they put into consideration when they put the rate / offer together

I think someone posted that some locations are 8/40, others are 12/80. The 8/40 have a much lower hourly rate because they earn OT for the last 4 hours of their shifts so the "average shift pay" is what would be comparable.

So 8x40$ + 4x60$ = $560/12 hours or $46.66/hr average.

Also, depends on the nurses union and what they have negotiated with that location or if there is no union.
