Hello, just starting a forum for Providence RN Residency Program - August 2025 Cohort, I currently work at a Providence hospital and got the email saying that internal applications opened 5/30 and external opens 6/6. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you

Apparently the self schedule for interviewing will be sent out next week for external.

Aw no I'm sorry 😞 For what it's worth, you still applied pretty early. It ain't over till the fat lady sings, as they say. Keep the hope up! You never know

Why is everyone so worried about applying early? It did say the application is open until 06/11. Did I miss something?

Because last cohort was essentially first come first serve. It's always good practice to apply early, but in this case there were a specific amount of interview slots available, which were automatically sent out. Once they were nabbed by the earliest applicants no one had a chance to interview despite being competitive applicants. I think in many cases people who applied after even noon were way too late.

It seems this time around they are waiting a bit to send it.
